LOUISVILLE, KY – August 11, 2014 - MrQuickPick, the national car unlocking service, announced today it is starting a Partner Program to enable qualified Lyft and Uber drivers to offer its respected, highly trusted service for motorists who have locked their keys in their cars.  The Partner Program is open for limited enrollment to selected Lyft and Uber drivers, starting in the Louisville market.   

“There is a natural fit between what we do and what the major rideshare services offer,” said Jon Taylor, CEO of MrQuickPick.  “For a rideshare driver who is out and about, with a mobile device and GPS, we can help that person make extra money by providing a very useful service to locked-out customers.”

The Partner Program emphasizes quality control and trust.  According to Taylor, many car unlocking services do not operate honorably and leave customers with unexpected high fees and often shoddy work.  Taylor has made integrity a priority for every MrQuickPick contractor he certifies.  For this reason, he feels that there is a strong potential affinity between his service and the rideshare programs.  “Both MrQuickPick and the rideshare companies value integrity and transparency,” said Taylor.  “Their customers want to see who is coming and know that they've had a background check. Lyft and Uber drivers who qualify for the MrQuickPick program must undergo a background check.  Once approved as contractors, they will receive the hands-on training required to unlock most cars, trucks and SUV’s on the road today, utilizing a professional yet very simple set of tools available from MrQuickPick.  “We can teach most anyone to unlock a car in a relatively short amount of time. This Car Unlock Service is Looking for a “Lyft” from RideShare Companies... Multitasking Drivers Could Unlock “Uber” Profits (as well as Cars!)

While “ride-sharing” companies like Uber and Lyft have been around for a few years in some cities, they only recently hit the streets of Louisville KY. When they finally did, Jon Taylor was watching closely, very closely. “I could sense the similarities that their businesses had with ours and the technology their services used was one that ours desperately needed” said Taylor, founder of MrQuickPick Lockout Locksmiths. For Just a Few Hundred Dollars in Startup, This Roadside Assistance Business Offers Exceptionally High Returns

There are few new businesses one can start totally from scratch that offer the extremely high return on investment that the auto lockout and roadside service business does. The start-up money required is minimal, the tools required are minimal, and the training and skills are minimal. 

Please note: I am not talking about the trade of being a professional locksmith and the tools required. The auto lockout business (as part of roadside assistance) is strictly about unlocking cars and trucks, unregulated in most states and therefore not requiring one to have a locksmith license or other credentials. I'm also not talking about being a scam artist or using scammer tactics to do business. 

Being unregulated in most states, the "rip-off" artists have flocked to the fast money, high ROI of the car unlocking business. In the absence of regulation, this industry, and the unsuspecting public, need honest and fair priced options when it comes to retrieving keys out of locked vehicles. And while a traditional locksmith will provide this service, it is typically less expensive to use a lockout service with much lower overhead. Unless you actually need a key made, calling a locksmith to unlock a car is like calling a plumber to use a plunger on your toilet... most often a bit of overkill!

The actual procedure used to open most cars has nothing to do with keys or locks. It is much more like an arcade game, trying to push a button here or turn a knob there. Any locksmith will tell you that this is not really "locksmith" work. Don't get me wrong, locksmiths will do this work and do it well, but they will usually charge more than a mobile roadside assistance service.
